## Τι είναι η ekklesia;

ekklesia.gr (εκκλησία του έθνους) is an independent civic initiative enabling Greek citizens to vote on real bills from the Hellenic Parliament and local government (Diavgeia). Votes are cryptographically signed (Ed25519), anonymous, and non-legally binding. The platform calculates a Divergence Score showing how much citizen opinion differs from parliamentary party votes.

## Privacy

- Phone number used ONLY for HLR verification, deleted immediately after nullifier generation
- No accounts, no email, no cookies, no tracking
- Versioned identity nullifiers: Argon2id v2 hash for new/reverified identities plus a legacy SHA256 compatibility anchor; public key stored, phone deleted
- Private key stored only on user device (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain)
- Votes cannot be linked to identity

- Backend: Python FastAPI, PostgreSQL 15, Redis 8.10
- Frontend: Next.js 16 (SSR, i18n el/en)
- Mobile: Expo React Native (Android vC61 / v1.0.32 published for Direct download, live through the public API/latest-APK alias and submitted to Play Closed Testing; icon notification counts are enabled where the Android launcher supports them; Google review and F-Droid's independent build remain pending; Direct, Play and F-Droid stay separately routed)
- Crypto: Ed25519 (PyNaCl + @noble/curves), HMAC nullifier chain
- AI: Ollama (local) + Claude API (hybrid)
- Forum: Discourse (pnyx.ekklesia.gr)
- Generated-content ownership: system summaries/forum bodies refresh only while their SHA-256 ownership digest still matches; admin/moderator edits are preserved
- Archiving: Arweave permanent storage
- Hosting: Hetzner (Helsinki, EU)
- ZK Voting V2: Semaphore-based; Android prover, hidden S10 canary, security review, and first public one-bill scoped rollout passed; guarded Parliament rollout live; ZK Arweave auto-publication live for eligible public Parliament scopes with minimum group size 5

ekklesia.gr offers specialized tools for elected representatives (MPs, Mayors, Municipal Councillors):
